From Anthem to Aspiration: Malické’s DemoStop Entrance

In a heartfelt conversation with Malické, the victor of the Siena College/The DemoStop National Anthem Contest, we delved into the remarkable journey of a budding artist who had the honor of performing the national anthem at MVP Arena. Through his own words, Malické shares his extraordinary experience.
“Being able to sing the national anthem was a huge honor and doing it at MVP Arena was the cherry on the cake. You can never not be nervous when you’re doing something like that with a room full of people looking at you, but I amped myself up for the challenge,” Malické reflects.
His meticulous preparation for the monumental performance included morning rituals of sipping hot Wild berry tea while practicing the anthem in various pitches and room acoustics. Countless pep talks with his own reflection in the mirror became part of his routine.
When the spotlight finally illuminated him, nerves were inevitable, but Malické embraced the challenge. “I have wanted to perform for a huge crowd by myself since I was a child. It’s definitely a nerve-racking moment, but I know that that’s a normal reaction,” he explains.
The audience’s exuberant reaction was a defining moment. “When the crowd cheered I was overwhelmed on the inside. From the court back to my seat I had people stop me telling me that I did great and they loved my voice,” Malické recalls.
This experience has ignited a fire within him to pursue his artistic aspirations with even greater fervor. “I’m definitely gonna buckle down and focus more on music and the performing arts. I’m in the market for a manager, a vocal coach, I’m gonna learn how to write my own music, record some more songs and get my name out there,” he shares.
Malické’s journey with The DemoStop has been transformative. “DemoStop is THE REAL DEAL! It’s definitely a great place to start,” he enthuses.
In closing, Malické extends heartfelt gratitude to The DemoStop for believing in him when he sometimes doubted himself. This experience has redefined his self-perception as an artist and marks the beginning of an exciting musical journey.
